How to schedule a screen recording



Start Recording at a Specific Time on a Daily/Weekly schedule

If you use the scheduled recording function of Bandicam, you can automatically start recording "at a specific time on a daily/weekly schedule" or "with the most recently used recording mode." This function is available only when Bandicam is running. If you want to use the scheduled recording function even when Bandicam is not running, use Windows Task Scheduler and the command-line parameters of Bandicam.

Follow the steps below to use scheduled recording at a specific time on a daily/weekly schedule:

  1. Click on the "Scheduled Recording" icon, and click the "Add" button.

  2. Enter the start and end time for the recording (select “One time,” “Daily” or “Weekly”)

    1. Name: This option allows you to enter the schedule name.
    2. Active: This option allows you to enable or disable the scheduled recording.
    3. Repeat: This option allows you to choose the repeat option (One time, Daily, Weekly).
    4. Start time: This option allows you to set the start time of the scheduled recording.
    5. End time: This option allows you to set the end time of the scheduled recording.
    6. Duration: This option allows you to set the duration of the scheduled recording.
    7. Recording target: This option allows you to select the recording method for scheduled recording.
      • (Do not change): The scheduled recording will begin according to the most recently used recording mode. If you want to record your webcam or only audio at a specific time, set the start/end time of the scheduled recording, and choose this option.
      • Fullscreen: The recording will begin with the full screen recording mode.
      • Rectangle on a screen: The recording will begin with the rectangle screen recording mode.
    8. After recording: This function allows you to configure settings (Do nothing, Exit Bandicam, Shutdown your computer) upon completion of the scheduled recording.

How to schedule a webcam recording

If you use Bandicam, you can record external video devices such as a Webcam, Xbox, Smartphone, IPTV, Capture card, etc.

Follow the steps below to record your webcam at a specific time:

  • Step 1: Start Bandicam, and choose 'Device Recording Mode' by clicking on the Webcam/HDMI icon.
  • Step 2: Click on the 'Scheduled Recording' icon, set the start/end time for the scheduled recording, and choose the (Do not change) option.
  • Note: After setting, do not close the Bandicam window. Scheduled recording only works when Bandicam is running.

How to schedule an audio recording

Schedule recording audio follows the same method as recording webcam, as introduced above. To schedule an audio recording, start Bandicam, choose 'Audio only Recording Mode,' and select the (Do not change) option in the Scheduled Recording settings.

Precautions to take when using Scheduled Recording

  1. The scheduled recording function is available only when Bandicam is running. To start recording even if Bandicam is not running, please use the command-line parameters of Bandicam (/record, /stop, /shutdown) and Windows Task Scheduler.
  2. Select the "Never" option in the Power & sleep settingsview if you want to record a computer for a long period of time.
  3. The scheduled recording function will not work on a remote computer when the remote connection is lost.
  4. The scheduled recording function will not work when a certain program blocks Bandicam. If you don't use a microphone, please uncheck the Record soundview option.
  5. To always check the recording status of Bandicam, add the Bandicam icon to the system tray (notification area)view.
