When I try to record using the DirectX mode of BC, Dear Esther becomes extremely laggy. When I try the screen capture method, the game is laggy to play, but the recorded video does not capture any footage.
Thanks for looking into it. I'll try a few things and let you know if I have more trouble or find a solution. I've finished the recording and I've only noticed the text problem happening twice (but I haven't reviewed all the footage in real-time, either). Windowed mode may indeed be worth a try, tho...
When recording The Dream Machine using full-screen mode (DirectX doesn't work for FRAPS or Bandicam, so it must use something else), it seems to work perfectly for the most part, but occasionally, I get a strange text screw-up. I'm not sure what causes it and it doesn't happen very often. http://i47...
That UI flickering problem occurs when I try to record Jedi Knight playing directly from Windows 7--That is NOT the result when playing in a VM. I used a VMWare virtual machine because the UI flickering was too annoying to stand when recording. This video shows the result when the game is recorded d...
Keep in mind that they are in the UK or something, so they reply during the night, US-time. Also, they only seem to work during weekdays, so threads like this aren't checked Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night, US-time.
Actually, now that I think of it, the real problem may be that I'm recording that footage from a VMWare virtual machine, which is necessary for playing some older games. Maybe that's where the trouble is coming from, and not just from recording the game itself. Is there anything you can do to improv...
It doesn't detect the game, probably because Jedi Knight uses DirectX 5.0 for its gameplay, but does not use DirectX for its cutscenes/menus. I can start the game, click the window to make absolutely sure it's selected, and hit the record key, and Bandicam does not respond. The only option I could f...
I have also been trying to record Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, but unfortunately the screen experiences serious tearing when scrolling using Bandicam's screen capture feature. I have made a video comparing it to FRAPS's recording , so you can see the difference. Now, I generally trust ...
