Sounds like you're missing some video codecs. I'd install a reliable codec pack, or VLC.

You can choose for Bandicam to record lossless files like FRAPS as well. I find Bandicam works better than FRAPS in every way. I would never purchase FRAPS though I used it in the past before Bandicam existed. FRAPS hasn't even changed in five-plus years, it's very overrated software.
