Strange Bandicam recording problem.

Wed Jun 26, 2013 9:11 pm

Hi! I wanted to test the free version of Bandicam, but when i did i got a strange problem. When I watch what I've recorded, it's black on the sides, overlaying what I've recorded (sorry I don't know how to explain it correctly). I tried to change the options, but it still looked like that whatever i did.I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 8GB ram, 3,6GHz 4-core processor with integrated AMD Radeon HD 7000 series graphics card and a Full HD super LED, LCD monitor. Here is an example from a recording

Hi,

It might be a problem with your media player.

Please try VLC media player.

If you still have the problem, please send a short video clip to bandicam@bandiosf.tcom

Hello,
I have a odd problem with records, When I try to open the output folder it doesn't open. I don't know what to do because there is no form (That I know of) that talks about the same problem I have.

Is there any error message on Windows?

Can you go to the output folder through Windows Explorer?

Go to your Catalyst drivers, look for AMD Steadyvideo.

DISABLE it.

Or you can scale the video up from 90% and see if your black borders will disappear.

I used to have this weird problem only happening in playback of videos using Directshow. If I used players like VLC the video shows up full screen. AMD Steadyvideo was the culprit.

I wrote a blog post about it here
