As topic says just getting black screen with a clean install of win 8(64bit). direct x says its up to date, and the target is direct x/opengl. i've tried different codecs and neither vlc player or win media player is showing anything but a black screen.
edit:
its recording sound and the cursor just fine, but video is still a black screen. even tried installing the full dx package but nothing changed.
i recorded many hours during beta just fine, but was on win 7 so i suspect win 8 is the problem.

I also play Guild Wars 2 and am contemplating trying Windows 8. I would appreciate any information about this problem from the OP or Bandisoft. I see Bandisoft does list 8 as a compatible OS.

Hello anyawow and froggiestone,
Yes, Bandicam works well on Windows 8.
We've tried Guild Wars 2 on Windows 8(64bit), but we couldn't reproduce the black screen problem.
Please recheck the following:
1. Start Bandicam before the game (Guild Wars 2)
2. Use the DirectX/OpenGL window mode of Bandicam

* Questions
Can you record other games with Bandicam? (without black screen)

Thank you for the response, i ended up figuring out what the problem was, is was just me using an old driver (its the driver that runs the game the best so been using it for a while now) more specific i was running with the 304.79 beta driver (nvidia) and i've used bandicam on win 7 with that driver no problem so i really didnt think that was the issue, but after upgrading to newest driver it's working again. i do however get worse performance the newer the driver but that is really nvidias problem and not bandicams. thanks again
