Sony Vegas x.264 Question. [Resolved]

Fri Nov 08, 2013 8:05 am

Hi there.
I Just noticed that the H.264 Codec was added on Bandicam itself, and I really enjoy using it, I have a fairly high-end PC and it works great for recording, however, For some reason, it won't open in Sony Vegas.
Now, the thing is, I'm trying to follow all the steps in the FAQ on the main website, but there's a big chunk missing that really confuses me.

It says to; "Install both x264vfw and x264vfw64 codecs from http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/files/"
Now, this is all fine and dandy, and I am more than willing to do so, but the thing is...
WHERE do I install it to, and HOW exactly do I link it to my Bandicam (Although, I'm only guessing this, since for all I know, I might have to link it to Sony Vegas.)

And I feel like either I don't know how Sourceforge works, or the file might be old, because when I download and install the files that it links too, All I get is this;

Could someone tell me what exactly I am doing wrong?

Hi,

Did you choose "PCM" audio codec? (No. 3)
Image

1. Install both x264vfw and x264vfw64 codecs from http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/files/
2. Choose the "H.264 (NVIDIA/INTEL/AMD)" encoder.
3. Choose the "PCM" audio codec.
4. Choose "1" at the Keyframe interval.

Yes, and besides, The Audio track is saved to a different file entirely, and the audio file itself works in Sony Vegas, but the video won't open.
The only thing I'm really confused about it where to install the x264vfw(64) files.
What folder am I supposed to put them in in order to integrate it with my Bandicam?

Or in short.
How exactly do I get This menu to pop-up in Bandicam?
Image

It says "Open it manually if it doesn't show up in Bandicam itself" but as you can see in my first post, I only get the .dll, and not the .exe shown here.

I'm going to try to help you, but since it's Sunday, you won't get anymore support from Bandicam until tomorrow (aka Monday).

In the "Format settings" of Bandicam, where you choose the "Video codec", there's a button that has 3 dot's. It's shown on the original image they posted (blue circle). If the "Configure x264vfw" doesn't show up on your Start menu try to uninstall, then reinstall. (Keep in mind, it won't show up in your program files folder(s))
Other than that, I'm not sure how else I can help you. Sorry.

That's the thing though, I'm not sure where to install it to.
Do I just go with the standard folder, or am I supposed to install it in my Bandicam folder?
