I test free version on my gforce 1030 no hardware encode

Wed Oct 11, 2017 10:32 pm

I see in mp4 setting only the entry H264(CPU) or mpeg-4. gforce 1030 is able to record upto H265 in hardware. i use win 10 64 and have i 4*2.8 GHZ CPU without AVX. 4k video decode in hardware work.

anther problem is, when i record from normal desktop screen a video in window mode, the record show recordet tearing. this mean it record when not the frame is complete draw. with other screen capture soft(currently i use free screen recorder.) i see this problem not . and my video player(VLC) do no tearing when play the recordet. if this can work better(record with nvidia hardware, no tearing) in bandicam then it is better as free screen recorder for me and i can register

Hello user4711,

First, H.265(NVENC) is available if you have installed the correct graphics driver.
Please uninstall your graphics card driver and download the latest graphics card driver.

Regarding the tearing issue, please try recording again with the "Use enhanced capture method (faster, Windows 8 or above)" option unchecked.

Thank you.

I have install newest graphic driver from oct 2017. there is too no option to select cuda as can see here https://www.bandicam.com/support/tips/nvidia-nvenc/

I know cuda work on other programs, because neat image 8 denoise 4* faster when i enable
the gfroce 1030 is the newest (with lowest price and passive cooled)gfx card line from nvidea. its the successor of the gforce 9xx line.

on your homepage stand whats need, and my gfx card is newer and should work for both.
3. Check whether your computer has an NVENC-capable GPU
* H264 (Nvidia® NVENC)
- Desktop GPU: Geforce GTX 600 series or higher graphics cards.
- Laptop GPU: GTX 660M, 670MX, 675MX, 680M, 700M or higher graphics cards.
* HEVC (Nvidia® NVENC)
- Desktop GPU: Geforce GTX 950 series or higher graphics cards (GTX 950, GTX 960, GTX 970, GTX 980, GTX Titan X).
- Laptop GPU: GTX 965M, 970M, 980M or higher graphics cards.
and thanks disable the switch "Use enhanced capture method (faster, Windows 8 or above)" help and there is no tearing.

Hello user4711,

Thank you for getting back to us.
We apologize for offering you incorrect information.

H265(NVENC) is not available with GeForce GT 1030.
You can use H264(Nvidia CUDA).
https://www.bandicam.com/support/tips/nvidia-cuda/

We are glad to hear that the tearing issue has been solved.

Thank you.

I copy the file in cuda_enc_windows7_8_64bit.zip to the folder you tell. now the H264 (nvidia CUDA) can choose. but when press record button in bandicam come now only error cannot init codec. and there is a file create of 0 bytes size. i test preset H264,60fps(nvidia cuda) too not work. only H264 CPU work. I test noadmin version too, same problem

in your manual stand this
f you use GTX 600 series or higher graphics cards, you will be able to use the Nvidia NVENC H264 encoder which allows you to record the target in high speed, with a high compression ratio, and in high quality.

i use newest driver but there is no H264 nvenc to choose

Hello user4711,

It seems that GeForce GT 1030 doesn't support either the H264(NVENC) or H265(NVENC) encoder.

To use the H264(CUDA) encoder, refer to https://www.bandicam.com/support/tips/nvidia-cuda/.
Please note that you need to download and install both "cuda_enc_windows7_8_64bit.zip" and "cuda_enc_windows7_8_32bit.zip" files.

If it doesn't work, we are afraid but we cannot offer any other solution for this issue.

Thank you.

I see a list from nvidia, there seem NVENC not allowed for GT GTX Cards. Only the Quadro or Grid or Tesla cards can do this. Quadro P400 card use same chip technoligy as gforce 1030 Pascal GP107. because my gforce 1030 is 4* faster as my 4*2.8 GHZ PC speed can not the reason

https://developer.nvidia.com/video-enco ... ix#Encoder

is there a cheap AMD GFX card that support H265 Hardware decode and hopefully H264 Hardware encode and is passive cooled ?

Wy you not compile the buildin H264 codec you have in C for open cl or a H265 codec. with llvm you can compile C code for opencl. If such a codec from you cost 20$ doesnt matter for me. here can read more about that

https://llvm.org/devmtg/2009-10/OpenCLWithLLVM.pdf
