I do video editing with game clips. if you slow down video at 60 FPS past .5 playback speed you are now under 30 FPS, and this will start to become choppy. recording at 120FPS lets you slow down video to .25 speed while still keeping about 30 FPS making for a nice slow effect.
Often in black ops for example, when people make movies they record at 30 or 60 FPS but slow the game down to .2x while watching the reply, you can then re-render the video at normal speed, making it150/300 FPS respectively. This lets you slow down the video about as slow as you could want and still have it super smooth.
I'm recording live game play however, so I need to record at a high FPS while playing. With Fraps I record at 120, going higher causes the FPS to drop time to time and be inconstant. With Bandicam I think I would be able to record at 150+ while playing with out issues. However the program just won't let you.
So, I want to record at what ever FPS I want to be able to slow down the video later on, while still keeping a 30+ frame rate in order to look smooth on rendered video.
