got bsod

Mon Jun 15, 2015 1:01 am

I got BSOD when recorded video. The folder contains file .mp4 (2,1GB) but I can't play it.
I opened it with WinHex - there is a lot of "0000000000000 0000000000000000" blocks in the end.
How I can "finish" it with right data?

Hello!

You can't fix the broken .mp4 file.

If you used the .AVI container, you could have fixed the broken file with BandiFix (http://www.bandicam.com/support/configu ... _software/).

We're sorry that we don't have a good solution for this issue.

nooooo... this is very important rec. Live show.
Why can't?
I have 99% of file. There is no "end".
Maybe some alternative methods??

If you can play the broken AVI file with VLC media player or POT player, please re-record the video file (while it is playing) through Bandicam.

If it's really important for you, you can try to use other software to repair your video.
If I remember correctly, WinX converter can edit video files, even if they are corrupted; or you can try some freeware like File Repair (no, I will not post the link).
But if you can't play it even with VLC... good luck!

If I may pop in, Matteo's suggestion is a good one (to use file repairing software) - I just want to add, you can also perhaps try software that does video splitting (where you can open an mp4 and cut it into pieces and save the pieces). Bandicut does this, for instance (if the video is not too 'broken' to be imported). These types of programs might allow you to save the portion that is 'good' - but with the way that the mp4 wrapper works, if you can't import/play it in anything, it will be very difficult. I am just hoping enough of the video is 'good' enough that you can import it to save most of it...
