I have a somewhat older PC (Sabertooth motherboard, I5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz & Nvidia GeForce GTX 670FTW. Which do you think is better to use for screen recording, the CPU or Nvidia NVENC? It's my only two video options, other than MP4.

Hello AnonyBooBoo,

We recommend the NVIDIA NVENC codec.

Hi there, so why do you recommend using the NVIDIA NVENC codec, i know that Software encoder is better for h264 AVC and h265 HEVC, and Intel QuickSync is better than NVIDIA too.

Hello,

If your graphics card supports the hardware-acceleration, you will be able to enhance the recording ability of Bandicam by using the GPU of the graphics card.

Thank you.

I'd go with Nvidia NVENC for screen recording. It puts less strain on your CPU and usually gives better performance for recording. Plus, it's built for video encoding, so it should do a solid job with your GeForce GTX 670FTW.
