My FPS Overlay doesn't work and I cant select window

Sat Apr 25, 2015 12:51 pm

Ok, so when I try to record a fullscreen game (Sid Meier's Pirates it's a steam game) I always go into DirectX/OpenGL mode first, but even with that on I can't use my recording hotkey (which is the - key) until I "select target window". I click on Sid Meier's Pirates, which opens it and takes me into the fullscreen game in which I cannot access Bandicam anymore except with my different hotkeys, and I do not see my green FPS number in the upper right corner of my screen. There is nothing in the game to block it, and I don't see my FPS number in ANY other game/tab I've tried to record even though it is turned on. I pressed my record hotkey while in the game, nothing happened and when I checked "output" there was no change. I have reinstalled Bandicam, I have the registered version, and I have done a lot of other things trying to help fix it. There is no way to change the game to windowed mode, and when I use "rectangle on a screen" mode the video is just me talking to a black screen, however I can in fact see my cursor on the black screen. I have the latest version. Please help me, as I have been attempting to fix this for about 2-3 days.

-Sincerely, Potato.

Wow this is a major issue for me as well, as there is no other means to see if it is recording or not. I tried all their "fixes". Very frustrating. It used to always work in older versions so sometimes newer isn't better at all... I have a new ATI driver maybe that's the issue but I'm not getting rid of that driver to see a FPS on my game that would be INSANE. I'm workin' on it as well.. let u no if I find the answer... must be a quiz...

I tried to record Sid Meier's Pirates! in DirectX mode and I had no problems... FPS shows as expected and recordings are just fine (except the resolution, but this is a game problem).
My game version is 1.0.0.0 (16296) and I have the latest ATI/AMD video driver.
The only difference is that you bought your copy on steam, mine was on 2 CD.

Which programs do you have running in background? Did you try to close 'em all?
