Suggestion to Implement Distribution HDD Writing

Fri Aug 24, 2012 9:43 pm

Hi, I love your software and have been using it for months. I was looking into DXtory (already bought Bandicam) and I had read that they reduce in game recording lag by spreading the data writes to multiple hard drives. They call it Distribution HDD Writing. From what I can tell, their/his software still insists on using just the 1 HD (lag was nonexistent though the final product was HUGE and would barely play) but the concept is interesting. Plus it crashed every single game I tried it on after the first attempt LOL

Also, I noticed that their software offered to use Bandi Mjpeg and Bandi Mpeg-1 encoders. Aren't these proprietary to your company? Someone just told me that it detects any codec on your system and utilizes it. So thought for while that he stole your codecs.

The "Distribution HDD Writing" function sounds good, but we've failed to test the function.
We may consider the function in the future if the function is really useful.

Technically, Dxtory can't use our encoders. They just show our decoder.
