Can only record sound as separate .wav file

Hi,

I've followed the steps in this guide: http://www.bandicam.com/faqs/how_to_rec ... icrophone/

I still have the issue, however, that I can only record sound as a separate .wav file, and then I have to merge it with the video. Naturally, that's quite frustrating. My settings screen looks like this:

Any way I can resolve this?

My computer info:

Windows 7
Graphics: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Bandicam version: 1.9.2.455
Rectangle on a screen mode
Recording target: Desktop screen

What audio codec have you chosen? If you try to open the recorded video file in an editor using the audio codec "MPEG-1 L2" then it may cause some issues. Try PCM if this is the case.

As the screenshot below shows, in the main Bandicam window click the "Video" tab, under "Format" - Click "Settings". Under "Audio" in the new window you should see "Codec", if that's set to MPEG-1 L2, that might be your problem.

I'm having the same issue but not with the AVI files. I record MP4 files because the editing software I use is iMovie and I'd rather have to avoid using extra software to convert .wav files into something that my editing software can use.

Dear Anordil87,

What is your Bandicam version?

The old versions of Bandicam (2.1.1 or older) had a problem with the "Two Sound Mixing" option and the .mp4 container.

Please go to http://www.bandicam.com/downloads/, and download/install Bandicam 2.1.2.

Going to attempt this now!

However I do want the mic audio and the captured game audio to be separate for the purposes of editing the mic volume levels and cleaning any static. Do I have to mix the two tracks into one?

You have to uncheck the "Two Sound Mixing" option.
