What the...bandicam sucks apparently.

Mon Oct 10, 2011 5:50 pm

Now, excuse my forthright wording...but it appears that bandicam in fact does suck. In some games, like GTA San Andreas, as soon as I hit record, it starts recording and lowers my framerate to something very sketchy. In other games, like Call of Duty (any of the CoDs), it PLAYS fine, without frame drops during recording...but the video itself is laggy when I watch it. What gives?

My computer is MORE than enough to handle this.

CPU: Core i7 2600k @ 5GHz
GPU: AMD 6970 2GB
Mobo: Maximus IV Extreme
Sound: Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1.25v G.Skill Sniper Series 2x4gb 1600MHz

Was recording to a different drive (plus tried recording to SSD). Fraps doesn't have this issue.

So...what the heck? I just paid 40$ for this software based on propaganda and hype. What gives?

May be its cause by your video record setting ??

My spec is just
CPU: Phenom II 955 @ 3.7GHz
GPU: HD 5770 1GB
Mobo: Mid end Asus
Sound: Onboard Sound
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1300MHz

At least till now never have any serious problem using Bandicam ...

try my setting if you not set like that .. by the way am not the admin here .. just happen to see your post so try to help . Anyway one thing for sure Bandicam is far from perfect but still its usable and much more smoother if compare to Fraps when recording from my own experince .

Good day ~

In future when posting about an issue try being much more polite and actually showing your bandicam settings seeing as that's what affects the FPS.

I was as polite as anyone who just emptied 40$ into a piece of software only for it not to work right could be.

Here's my settings, and as you can see, this isn't asking too much. This is supposed to be "better than fraps", but fraps records smoother in every single way, plus my computer is WELL, VERY WELL beyond what is needed to record at these settings smoothly.

EDIT, AND PLEASE NOTE, I'M NOT TRYING TO RECORD PHOTOSHOP; IT WAS OPENED AT THE TIME IS ALL:

Here is what i suggest you to do :

1. Change your format setting exactly shown in the picture
2. Disable Secondary sound device to see if that cause the problem . (or even disable the primary sound too if the problem still exist without secondary sound)

I record many video using this software without any major problem so far .. so good luck .

Hello mistahardkill,

Sorry for your lag problem.

1. Try kungfupanda888's suggestion.
The suggestion is quite reasonable.

2. What is your FPS count when you're playing/recording?
- The green colored numbers of GTA San Andreas:
- The red colored numbers of GTA San Andreas:
- The green colored numbers of Call of Duty:
- The red colored numbers of Call of Duty:

3. It can be an Anti-aliasing problem.
=> Turn off Anti-aliasing and try again
(The current version of Bandicam has the Anti-aliasing problem in a certain graphic card, and we will release the fixed version in a week)

4. If you still have the lag problem, please send your videos at bandicam@bandisoft.com
=> We will check your video, and share the results with you.
=> You may use the following storage service to send the video files.
- Dropbox (2GB~): http://www.dropbox.com/
- The free account can upload up to 2GB or higher. (Files uploaded to Dropbox via the desktop application have no file size limit.)
