Massive Bandicam FPS drops on any settings

Tue Oct 11, 2011 10:39 am

Alright, so I had used Bandicam for awhile, and it was working fine. 60 FPS, good quality, and a good recorder. Then, suddenly, it didn't record correctly. I didn't change any settings to my knowledge -- just one day, it could only record at 5-10 FPS. I tried everything to fix it, and eventually just had to settle for another recorder. After a long time, I've come back and tried it again, hoping that it was fixed in an update or something, but I'm running into the same problem.

And this isn't the typical video recording FPS drop, because it ran fine prior to this happening approximately 4-5 months ago. My game is reduced to a permanent 5-10 FPS, and if I click on something in-game, it automatically stops recording. I've tried recording without sound, reducing the recording quality to the lowest it could go, and nothing works. No matter what I do, it's stuck at this low FPS that instantly stops recording if I do anything. No video actually appears, either. Bandicam acts like it's recording, but no video is actually recorded.

I record to an external hard drive normally, but I've tried both my main hard drive and external and the same problem occurs.

My specs:

CPU: Intel i7 860 @2.8GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 470
RAM: 4GB DDR3 RAM
OS: Windows 7 Home Edition 32-bit

Any thoughts as to why this would be happening? Keep in mind that up until this started happening a few months ago, Bandicam was working fine, and one day it just stopped working properly.

Its sound like some software conflict to me , i mean some software you install within this few month cause the problem ?? have you try uninstall & reinstall again ?? or even clean registry first before that ?? What version you using ?? to let people help you better then pls upload all the screenshot of your setting here ..
example like this .. By the way am not the admin , just someone enjoy using Bandicam and not yet encounter any problem yet .. so far :D

I might have installed some sort of software that's conflicting with Bandicam, but I can't imagine what it would be.

Yes, I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, and yes, I've tried cleaning my registry.

I'm using the latest version.

Uploading my current settings wouldn't do much, considering that I have this problem on any setting I try. I've tried all FPS settings, all codecs available, all quality settings, and all resolutions (not necessarily in that order), and none seem to fix the problem.

The attached picture is the video format setting that i always use which nvr had any problem so far .. try set exact like that see how its go .. but if you already try that before then thats nothing more i can suggest ..
or else you might want to uninstall some lately install program to see if thats the problem source .. worst come to worst then just format the pc  (Sometime it might be hardware problem too .. plug too many usb hardware cause insufficient power / mic setting problem in case you do record with mic n etc)
Good luck .

Hello Blaquenwhyte,

1. Please try other games.
Do you still have the same FPS problem (5-10 FPS)?

2. Which game are you playing? We will test your game.

Thank you for using Bandicam

I've tried Starcraft 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Mass Effect 2. Same problem occurs everywhere.
