Video settings for Amazon Prime

Thu May 07, 2020 3:10 am

Hi,

Can anybody recommend the preferred settings to capture Amazon prime movies ?
I have a high end dual Xeon PC (36 CPU cores in total, 256 GB Ram, Nivia 1080 TI graphic card).
4K 3840 x 2160 monitor

Captures of Games in 3840 x 2160 are looking really great both on computer monitor and 4K TV
Captures of Amazon Prime Video from Chrome Browser looks great on computer monitor, but they stutter a lot, especially during fast movements.

Typically Amazon Prime Movie is broadcasted at 1080p.

So I used the rectangle capture modus 1920 x 1080 - scaled down the Amazon prime window on my Chrome Browser
used the following video settings : H264 (NVIDIA NVENC). Quality: 100, FPS 25, VFR.

Shall I try FPS 24 CBR ? I have no idea which FPS Amazon Prime is using for their streams.

Result as mentioned above: Perfect movies on my Computer TV, stuttering movies on my TV.
Anyway Blue Rays + 4K Blue Rays are perfectly played without any stuttering on my TV.

Is the streaming Bitrate of Amazon not good enough ?

Any recommendations, ideas or settings for Amazon Prime ?

Thanks
