Bandicam records at wildly different settings

Tue Nov 07, 2023 3:27 am

I have Bandicam set to record video at 30 fps, 10,000 kbps, but the videos I get are actually recorded at various settings that vary widely. Some are as little as 16 fps.

This is not some cheap junk computer. 16 cores with 64GB of RAM.

I have tried all the different settings, H264 (CPU), H264 (AMD) , etc. and the result is always the same. Very few videos are actually recorded at the setting that I have specified, almost always less, sometimes a lot less.

I record a lot of videos, then go through and pick out the ones I want to save and combine them into a single video. Because Bandicam records every video at wildly different settings, combining the videos requires extra encoding. This is extremely annoying and aggravating.

What's the deal? Is this just a junk program that isn't worth using?

Hello mistertheloaf,

Do you use the latest version of Bandicam?
What is your recording target?
Which recording mode do you use?

Please try the steps below.
1. Uninstall and reinstall the latest graphics card driver and try again.
2. If you still have the same issue, uncheck the "Use enhanced capture method" option and try again.

If you still have the same problem, please attach the video file recorded with Bandicam.

Thank you.

One thing you could try is to make sure that your GPU drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause issues with recording software. Also, check if there are any background processes or apps hogging system resources while you're recording – that could impact your frame rate.
