Bandicam file size.

Tue Jul 19, 2011 6:12 pm

Hi, my computer is able to handle bandicam perfect while recording my gameplay videos. But the only problem is uploading them to youtube.

I've only touched the FPS and quality settings, which I changed FPS to 60 and Quality to 100, and a 10 minute video goes becomes 3GB. Is there anyway I can make the file size smaller but keep such a good quality?

A 3GB video takes me about 6 hours to upload. :evil:

Mind providing me the recommended settings to upload to YouTube?

Well for one, Bandicam is alot better than Fraps. With Fraps you would get a 60+GB file if you only record 10 minutes, so you should be happy :).
You can convert the file with alot of different programs, for one you can try Windows Movie Maker or AVS Video Converter (which I highly reccommend) - but it cost some money.

That's all really, I'll edit the post if I come up with anything else. It's 1am so I am posting this half asleep :)

Hello,

This is Zun from Bandicam.

The best Bandicam settings for YouTube are as follows:

* Video
1. Size: 480p is good
- Fit Height: 0*360 <==If you want to get 360p video
- Fit Height: 0*480 <==If you want to get 480p video
- Fit Height: 0*720 <==If you want to get 720p video
- Fit Height: 0*1080 <==If you want to get 1080p video
2. FPS: 30 <== You don't have to choose "60" (Regularly, movie is 24 FPS and TV is 30 FPS)
3. Codec: MPEG-1
4. Quality: 80 <== If you want to get higher quality, you can choose "100"

* Audio
1. Channels: Stereo
2. Frequency: 44100 <== 44100 is good
3. Codec: MPEG-1 L2
4. Bitrate: 128

If you need the best encoder for your videos, use MediaCoder, it's constantly updated, can use Nvidia CUDA technology and best of all, it's FREE!
So record the video with Bandicam and if it's too big, fiddle around with MediaCoder.
