THIS IS SOLVED. Apparently HDR messes with this setting. If anyone else has this problem, turn off HDR.
So, I have been using Bandicam for quite some time now (2 years), but recently I have been having this problem with the video brightness being abnormally high. Its like- 500% brightness, and I cant figure out the reason why.
I linked two photos, one of the brightness issue being viewed in VLC, and the second showing what format I am using to record videos.
Current Version I am using: Bandicam 2024 v7.0.1.2132
(Sorry if this post is not informative enough, this is literally my first post on a forum type website... EVER.)

You can use the HDR option in 'Screen Recording Mode'.
The current version doesn't support the HDR in 'Game Recording Mode'.
If you use 'Game Recording Mode,' you must turn off the HDR option in the display settings of Windows.
