bug: disabling audio in toolbar results in error prompt....

Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:54 am

Bandicam 2024
Failed to start audio capture. If you need help, click the OK button

I simply tried to disable the audio capture from the capture toolbar.

The correct action is that the video records, without any prompt. because the audio is disabled anyways, so there is no need for any audio capture.

FYI, the "place inline" button of forum attachments is not working. So the attachments will all be jumbled in the end.

I checked further and I noticed this "Record Sound" option is still checked in the advanced menu.

But whenever both the mic and the speakers are disabled, then this option should be automatically unchecked by bandicam, without any further user interaction.

When I have disabled both the mic and the speaker from the toolbar, why would I need to open a 3rd menu to uncheck "record sound"? I think this is an old bug actually.

Hello 4EverMaAT,

It is normal that the popup alert appears when you disabled the speaker and microphone on the Bandicam main window.
And even if it appears, you can still record a video without audio.

Since the "Record Sound" option and the settings of the sound devices have different functions, it is normal that they act independently and so the "Record Sound" option is not automatically unchecked when you disable all of the sound devices.

We have forwarded your opinion to our development team.

Thank you.
