'Previous frame' goes forward

Thu May 13, 2021 7:58 pm

I'm currently using the free version to test how well Bandicut will work in order to split loads of converted VHS footage into separate files, and it seems to be the only software that is able to do exactly what I want to do, and I'm more than willing to buy it in order to save myself some time.
However, I've come across a major, deal-breaking issue in terms of getting the segments perfect down to the last frame.

The 'previous frame' function pushes the search-needle / segment-end ' ] ' FORWARDS not backwards, meaning both 'Left <-' and '-' and the button under the preview window has the SAME functionality as 'Right ->' and '+'

I don't know if this is a bug, or if it isn't intended to be able to skip backwards..?? It seems really counter-intuitive to any video editing software, and kinda eliminates the time-saving appeal of it.

Hello,

Thank you for using our product, Bandicut.

[ ] is the 'Set Segment Start/End Time' button to fix the cutting section.

Please check the detail at the following link.

I am having the same issue with Bandicut. It is not the [ ] buttons, but the < << >> > ones that are not working properly. When I click on < or << it moves the video forward NOT backward. When I click > and >> it also moves the video forward. There doesn't seem to be any way to back up other than to grab the position bar and slide it which is not precise enough for getting the right point to start and stop the split location.

The tool is great and I would pay the money if the < and << buttons worked.

Thanks.

I just verified that this seems to only happen when you use videos in mpg/mpeg format.
