Cut long time no progress

Thu Nov 03, 2022 2:16 am

I downloaded Bandicut because I want to cut a long (5 1/2 hour) MP4 film into 4 shorter chapters.
A cut from the middle of the film progressed quickly and successfully.
But a similar length section at the end of the film has been using almost all my CPU for 2 1/2 hours and progress still sitting at zero - what's going on?
I tried a few times now including closing and re-opening the program with similar results.

Hello,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

If the index information of the video is corrupted/damaged, the problem may occur. In this case, please try the steps below:

Step 1: Open the original video, click the "Start" button without selecting the cutting area,
Step 2: Process your video with High- speed mode.
Step 3: Import the processed video file in high-speed mode, and cut the video.

Thanks. I tried again before going to bed last night and just left it running - in the morning it seems to have completed OK, just took a mighty long time with no initial indication of any progress. Still don't understand why first cut (similar size) was so much quicker...
