How to record a presentation on Google Slides

Google Slides is an excellent tool for creating presentations that can express your ideas in the form of images, charts, text, tables, and more. You can record a Google Slides presentation as a video with Bandicam's Screen Recording Mode. Follow the steps below to record Google Slides presentations:

1. Install Bandicam Screen Recorder and start.

2. Configure the recording settings.

   You can selectively record your computer sound, voice, or both.

   • Speakers: Select “(Default Output Device)” or “Disable” for the Speakers depending on your preference.
   • Microphone: To add your voice, choose “Your microphone device” for the Microphone in the settings.

3. Add a facecam (webcam overlay).

   If you want to record yourself on Google Slides, check the "Add Webcam overlay" option. With the webcam overlay feature, you can record both the presentation screen and webcam, as shown in the image below.

4. Open the Google Slides and click the '● REC' button to start recording the screen.

   Choose the 'Select a recording area' mode, and adjust the recording window size to match what you want to record.

5. Once you’ve finished a presentation, stop the recording by clicking the ■ stop button.

6. Click on the video icon to access your recorded video.

   Now, you can play, edit or upload the presentation videos to Google Drive, YouTube, or Vimeo.

How to record audio on Google Slides

You may have noticed that Google Slides does not have a built-in audio recording option, preventing users from directly recording narration or background music. However, the good news is that you can insert audio files into Google Slides.

All you need to do is create an audio file and insert it into Google Slides. Bandicam is a free audio recorder that allows you to record your voice or audio and save it as an MP3 audio file. Follow the simple steps below to add audio to Google Slides:

1. Install Bandicam, a free voice recorder, and start.

2. Choose the 'Audio Only' menu and start the audio recording.

3. Once you’ve finished recording, upload the Bandicam audio file to Google Drive by selecting "File upload."

4. Open the Google Slides, select the “Insert” option from the menu, and select “Audio.”
