How to Record Multiple Webcams/Cameras on Windows

It is often necessary to capture multiple views using more than one camera for experimental, CCTV, or monitoring purposes. By running more than one Bandicam program on a computer, you can capture multiple devices at once as individual files. This requires at least two webcams or capture devices, such as a built-in laptop camera, an external USB webcam, a capture card, etc.

How to record multiple webcams by running multiple instances of Bandicam
Bandicam allows you to record more than two webcams or capture devices from one computer. In this article, we will show you how to record multiple webcams by running multiple Bandicam programs. This tutorial works the same way for capturing external capture devices. To get started, please follow the steps below:
- Download and install Bandicam.
- Copy and paste the Bandicam installation folder(C:\Program Files\Bandicam).
- Once you copy and paste the Bandicam installation folder, a "Bandicam - Copy" folder will be created.
- Copy as many folders as there are webcams that you need to record. For example, you must create a total of three Bandicam installation folders to record three webcams, as shown below.
- Click the "bdcam.exe" file in each Bandicam folder to launch multiple Bandicam programs.
- To record your voice, select your microphone as the Microphone and 'Disable' as the Speakers.
(If you want to record computer sound and microphone together, select 'Default Output Device' for the Speakers.) - Select different webcam devices in each Bandicam launch window.
- Choose "Device Recording" mode, click the "Device Settings" button, and select the webcam device.
- Click the "Format Settings" button and select the video size, FPS, and color space.
- If you can see the screen of the device, click the [ ● REC ] to start/stop the recording.
- Once the recording is finished, go to ‘Home -> Video’ to play or upload the captured videos.
Additional Tips
1. I can't record multiple webcams with multiple instances of Bandicam
You cannot record multiple webcams by running multiple instances of Webcam if your webcam devices are exactly the same. You must use different webcam devices to record multiple webcams at the same time.

3. What if you don't have a webcam device but want to record?
You can use your smartphone or iPhone camera as an external webcam device using the IRIUN or DroidCam application.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
If you see an error message that says "Failed to initialize the video capture device,"
- Select another video size
from the format selection menu, or - Turn off the “Use custom audio device” option and try again.
- Please uninstall/exit the other webcam program, and reinstall the latest version of the webcam/capture device driver.
- If you still see an error message, please send a screenshot of
the format selection menu to bandicam@bandicam.com
If you have a USB capture device,
- Please plug the device into a USB 3.0 slot.
- A PCI/PCI-E capture card is usually better than a USB capture card.
