How to Record Two Webcams simultaneously

There are times when capturing two cameras is better suited for making tutorial videos, lectures, YouTube videos, etc. For example, you might want one camera to show the full scene of you playing the guitar and another to focus on the hand plucking the guitar strings. In other words, you need one camera to capture you, while other cameras show what you are doing from different angles.
You can record as such with the ‘Device Recording Mode’ and ‘Add Webcam overlay’ functions in Bandicam, and get results in a single file recorded by two webcams. How to Capture Video from Two Webcams at Once
Bandicam allows users to add a webcam stream to the main video. The streaming webcam will be added to the entire video you're recording (Picture-in-Picture, Video-in-Video). In this article, we will show how to capture one webcam and add another one side-by-side. This requires two webcams such as a built-in laptop camera, an external USB webcam, a smartphone camera, etc. To get started, please follow the steps below:
- Download and start Bandicam.
- Choose "Device Recording" mode, click the "Device Settings" button, and select the webcam device.
- Check the "Add webcam overlay to video" option and select another webcam device.
- Select the 'Add Webcam Overlay' option by clicking the webcam icon, and choose another webcam device.
- If you want to preview the webcam screen while recording, check the 'Preview webcam on screen' option.
- In Advanced Settings, you can adjust the position, size, etc., of the webcam screen.
- To record your voice, select your microphone as the Microphone and 'Disable' as the Speakers.
(If you want to record computer sound and microphone together, select '(Default Output Device)' for the Speakers.) - Click the [ ● REC ] button to start the recording. You can see that the two webcams are being recorded at the same time as the 'Webcam device B' is overlaid on the 'Webcam device A'.
- Once the recording is finished, go to ‘Home -> Video’ to play or upload the captured videos.

2. What if you don't have a webcam device but want to record?
You can use your smartphone or iPhone camera as an external webcam device using the IRIUN or DroidCam application.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
If you see an error message that says "Failed to initialize the video capture device,"
- Select another video size
from the format selection menu, or - Turn off the “Use custom audio device” option and try again.
- Please uninstall/exit the other webcam program, and reinstall the latest version of the webcam/capture device driver.
- If you still see an error message, please send a screenshot of
the format selection menu to bandicam@bandicam.com
If you have a USB capture device,
- Please plug the device into a USB 3.0 slot.
- A PCI/PCI-E capture card is usually better than a USB capture card.
