Recording Modes of Bandicam - Video Tutorials

Bandicam consists of three modes. One is the 'Screen Recording' mode, which can be used for recording your entire computer screen or specific parts of the screen. The other is the 'Game Recording' mode, which can record the target created in DirectX or OpenGL. And the last is the 'Device Recording' mode which records Webcams and HDMI devices.


1. 'Screen Recording' mode | Rectangle on a screen

This mode allows you to record a partial area in the rectangle window.


2. 'Screen Recording' mode | Fullscreen

This mode allows you to record the whole screen of your display.


3. 'Screen Recording' mode | Around mouse

This mode allows you to record the area around the mouse cursor as you move it around your computer screen.


4. 'Game Recording' mode

This mode allows you to record gameplay without lag and displays the FPS while the recording is in progress.


5. 'Device Recording' mode

This mode allows you to record external video devices such as a Webcam, Xbox, Smartphone, IPTV, etc.

Cons This mode is not suitable for recording high-quality games which have high framerates. This mode only works with DirectX/OpenGL/Vulkan games/applications. This mode requires a webcam or capture device (hardware).
