Best video/audio codec settings for video editing software
To edit the recorded video with video editors such as Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, and Pinnacle Studio, choose the correct video and audio codec.
1. AVI = Motion JPEG + PCM (Recommended for most users)
To edit the recorded video with editing programs such as Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, and Pinnacle Studio, choose the "Motion JPEG" and "PCM" codecs.
Click the 'Settings' button under the 'Video' tab, and choose the "Motion JPEG" and "PCM" codecs as shown below:
If you want to keep the original video quality, try using the "Lagarith lossless codec" instead of "Motion JPEG."
If you can't edit videos with the "Motion JPEG" and "PCM" codecs, please check the Two Sound Mixing option.
If you have an audio sync issue with the "Motion JPEG" and "PCM" codecs, reduce the video resolution of the recording target and reduce the video size, FPS, and video quality of Bandicam.
2. MP4 = The "Prefer CFR" option (Recommended for advanced users)
To edit the recorded video with editing programs such as Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, and Pinnacle Studio, choose the "Prefer CFR" option in Bandicam. » See more
Click the '[...]' button under the 'Video' tab, and choose 'Prefer CFR' as shown below:
Even if you choose the "Prefer CFR" option, the video will automatically be saved as VFR if the encoder's performance is not good enough. As a result, you will not have the video and audio syncing issue with Bandicam.
If the recorded video has an audio sync issue with the "Prefer CFR" option, please try other media players.
If the video cannot be saved as CFR, reduce the video resolution of the recording target and reduce the video size, FPS, and video quality of Bandicam. You may also try the "Motion JPEG" and "PCM" codecs.
